President Madison was the first in a four Presidential tour of Virginia. President Madison is buried in his family cemetery along with other members of his family. His slaves have their own cemetery which I did not get a chance to see. It was a very hot day for the mountains of Virginia. It was in the high 80's to low 90's the whole day. President Madison's home is just outside of Orange Virginia. Also about 45 min to a hour away is President's Jefferson's House which was my next stop on my trip.
This Is The Madison Family Cemetery. President Madison Is In Front. Mrs. Madison Is The Smaller Monument.
